Made in Canada Vintage

We are excited to welcome some of Toronto's vibrant vintage community to be a part of this years Made in Canada show. We've got 7 amazing vintage sellers in the show and we're also super excited to be teaming up with The Ian Drummond Collection to bring you a Vintage Workshop! You can check out our vintage sellers in this years Vendor Lookbook found here.

Last years inaugural Made in Canada show featured some pretty fantastic workshop by some of Toronto's local talents. This year, as we've said before, we are coming out with an even bigger and better show, and that includes our lineup of workshops.

Etsy: Made in Canada Toronto, is proud to present a 1 hour vintage workshop lead by Ian and Marla
of Ian Drummond Collection. Ian Drummond Collection specializes in vintage items primarily for rental to industry professionals in film, television & theatre. The collection houses everything from Vintage Clothing, Footwear, Jewelry & Accessories with stock spanning from the 1890s up to the 1990s.

Along with his vintage rental business, he is also a seasoned vet in the vintage show circuit and is a regular vendor at CAFCAD’s Movie Wardrobe Sale, Toronto Vintage Clothing Sale, the Ottawa Vintage Clothing Sale and the Vintage Marketplace Show.  He operates 3 online Etsy shops - Ian Drummond Vintage, IDCMasculine, and Ian Drummond Stash.

The workshop will cover topics such as:
Accessing vintage items
How to properly care for a vintage collection
Renting and selling vintage
Vending tips and tricks at vintage shows
Hands on participation from attendees

This is a great learning opportunity for any newbie vintage enthusiast, a vintage lover thinking about opening a shop on Etsy or a seasoned vintage expert. He will share his passion for vintage, experiences as an assistant costume designer and wardrobe buyer for films. As well as what goes into owning a vintage rental business and his show vending knowledge.  Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity.

UPDATED STATUS: Vintage Vendor Call for Toronto Vintage Clothing Show & Toronto Antique and Vintage Market - Deadline August 14th, 2015 for Etsians

UPDATED STATUS & LAST CHANCE! : Vintage Vendor Call for the Toronto Vintage Clothing Show & Toronto Antique and Vintage Market - Hard Deadline of August 14th, 2015 for Etsians

We have 4 ETSY VINTAGE VENDORS that would like to participate in the Toronto Vintage Clothing Show & Toronto Antique and Vintage Market on Saturday, October 3-4, 2015 for the SPECIAL ETSY DISCOUNTED FEE of $300 instead of the regular $350 table fee.  We still need at least 2/3 MORE to secure the special rate for them.  If you are a vintage vendor that would like to participate in this huge vintage show, please contact Taryn Olson, TEST Vintage Leader, tarynjlee@hotmail.com.  Friday, August 14th is the absolute last day to get a group of 6+ sellers together to make this special Etsy rate to happen.  This is one of the biggest vintage shows in Toronto with lots of traffic, high caliber dealers and great shoppers!

Affiliated Showsales is offering Etsians a special deal on the vendor fee if a group of more than 6 Etsy vintage shops are interested in participating for the weekend.  They have offered to set up an Etsy area and provide a special discount rate of $50 per booth - that's $300 for a 10' x 10' area (without a corner location) rather than the regular vendor cost of $350.  The fee covers both days, sharing of booths is not permitted.  Application deadline is set for August 14th, 2015.  I can compile a list of interested vendors and contact Affiliated Showsales as soon as possible with a list if I hear back that more than 6 would like to participate to solidify the special rate.

Toronto Vintage Clothing Show & Toronto Antique Market happening on Saturday, October 3-4, 2015 at the Queen Elizabeth Building, Exhibition Place is accepting vintage vendor applications.  The vendor fees cover participation in both days of the show. Shoppers that purchase a ticket to the Toronto Vintage Clothing Show get automatic entry to the Toronto Antique Market and vice versa - yay for additional volume of shoppers and foot traffic!

Partnering with The Printing House

We're still working away behind the scenes to build partnerships to help us bring you an even bigger and better Etsy: Made in Canada show in our sophomore year! We're so pleased to introduce you to another of our partners - The Printing House, who are all about bringing your ideas to life.

The Printing House has been helping Canadian businesses and makers just like yourself since 1961. We have over 70 locations from Halifax to Vancouver, each with their own team of print and design specialists that are ready to help you bring your ideas to life. We offer a variety of products and services, from your average printing of business cards and stationery to more specialty products such as trade show booths and banner stands. We can also do stickers, labels, posters, and so much more!

We’ve recently delved into the world of 3D printing. We offer both 3D printing and scanning as well as 3D design services. Do you want your own Makerbot to 3D print your own designs at home? We sell those too!

Our story really comes down to the story of our customers. It’s about their ideas and the way that they are brought to life. Bring us your ideas and we’ll make them happen.

FYI... our friends at The Printing House will be running 3D printing demo's at Etsy: Made in Canada this September. Be sure to stop by their table and see what it's all about!
