Dinovember Art Show - Celebrating all things dinosaur!

COMING THIS NOVEMBER.... It's DINOVEMBER!

November 4 to 14, 2017: Opening November 4, 6 - 9 pm

Toronto Etsy Street Team gallery

906 Queen St W, Toronto

The Toronto Etsy Street Team gallery is hosting a group art celebrating all things dinosaurs!

This exhibition will feature art in all media and handcrafted items about everyone's favourite extinct behemoths*, the dinosaurs! For Dinovember we are seeking dinosaur items from imaginative artworks to scientific illustrations to handmade toys and other goods.

Other non-dinosaur Mesozoic creatures are also welcome! We love flying and marine reptiles, prehistoric fish and more.

*Diminuative dinosaurs are also welcome.

This is a juried show. We will be seeking completed ready to hang artworks and craft of all media.

Artists will be charged a hanging fee of $50. The Toronto Etsy Street Team will retain a 10% fee to cover any processing fees of any sales and then all proceeds of art sales will go directly to the artist. Artists set their own prices.

We especially encourage members of the Toronto Etsy Street Team to apply but the application is open to all artists and makers.

Deadline: October 1

Vendor Call: Flea at the Barns

Wednesday, September 6, 2017

The Pop-up at the Barns community marketplace is back for 2017. This is a market that runs concurrently with The Stop Farmers Market at Artscape Wychwood Barns. Our market is designed to combine a higher-end, curated selection of Businesses offering a wide range of home and lifestyle products and services. We know that driving traffic into a traditional Brick & Mortar store can be trying, so why not position yourself where the traffic already is.

As we all know, Artscape Wychwood Barns has become the beacon, center point for the Hillcrest Village, Humewood, Wychwood, Cedarvale and other St. Clair West Area communities. With a large number of area and vicinity residents visiting the flourishing Stop Farmers Market each week, it has created an exciting opportunity.

This initiative has provided an excellent way to support our community in more than just adding a marketplace, but through this venture, The Wychwood Barns Community Association (WBCA) will benefit, as the proceeds will help to support the many family programs that take place at the Barns and the Volunteers that make it possible.

So, if you have an existing retail business or seek a strong market, or you follow market opportunities, this is the perfect place to market your products or services.

Time: Saturday September 23, 2017 8:30 am - 2 pm. Vendor Application available upon request. A special back to school market running alongside The Stop's Farmer's Market at the Barns

Inquiries can be made to brad.tr.stevenson@gmail.com / info@atthebarns.org

Love All Bodies Art Show at the Toronto Etsy Street Team Gallery

Tuesday, August 15, 2017

Come join us this Saturday, August 19th, from 6:00 to 9:00 for the Opening of the Love All Bodies Show. This show celebrates all human bodies and features new work from artists in various media including drawing, photography, printmaking, multimedia, textile art, and bronze sculpture. Guest curator Rebecca Rose Vaughan writes, "This exhibition aims to bring together a diverse and inclusive representation of all bodies through intersectional, body positive, progressive, and political work. ALL bodies deserve space and positive representation. We aim to create space to represent people that are particularly subject to systems of oppression and discrimination because their bodies are different. We highly encourage all POC, genderqueer, female identifying, trans persons, those with disabilities and queer people, to submit. Let us create new conversations about what it means to love our bodies specifically in a society where most are taught not to."
