This May 1 to 14 you can take part in Canada’s first ever free shipping sales event and boost your visibility! During the event, Etsy will highlight a selection of products that ship for free to Canadian buyers on the Etsy.com homepage, in curated Editor’s Picks pages, and emails to shoppers. Bonus: Listings with free domestic shipping will also receive a boost in Etsy search, making it even easier for shoppers in Canada to find your items during the event. Create your sale by April 20 and your shop may also be featured on Editor’s Picks pages and in Etsy marketing emails sent to shoppers in Canada.

In an August 2017 survey, more than half of Etsy shoppers told us free shipping is a top factor in their decision to make a purchase. Now’s the time to try a free shipping sale to see how it works for you. This promotion is designed to be flexible to suit a wide variety of sellers from all over Canada. Customize your sale with Etsy’s tools: Offer free domestic shipping to build your local fan base—during the sales event we’ll be highlighting items that ship for free to Canadian shoppers. Set an order minimum to encourage shoppers to spend more—for example, free shipping when you buy more than two items. Limit your free shipping sale to specific listings. Try a promotion on lightweight items or a certain product category to bring buyers into your shop.

Etsy Canada Q&A at Etsy: Made in Canada Toronto

Etsy: Made in Canada Day, Toronto Edition at MaRS! Applications are OPEN!

On September 27th, 10 am to 4 pm, the Toronto Etsy Street Team in collaboration with 416Hustler will be hosting the Toronto Edition of Etsy: Made in Canada Day!

We will be taking over the large atrium of Etsy Canada's home at MaRS, which is in the heart of the city at College St and University Avenue. There will be simultaneous shows at OCADU, here in Toronto, and in more than 30 towns and cities from coast to coast. This nation-wide event will get nation-wide promotion! Etsy is planning a Canada-wide media blitz. This event will get noticed, and participating in Etsy: Made in Canada will get you and your handmade or vintage Etsy shop noticed.

In the spacious venue we will be hosting more than ONE HUNDRED vendors. Have you ever wanted to take part in one of our shows? Now's the time! With a venue this large we can accommodate the range of fabulous shops in Toronto. Plus, while applications will be juried to gather the best, this show is open to any handmade or vintage Etsy seller. Team membership is not required - but you do need an Etsy shop.
