Vendor Call: Makeology Spring Market

Wednesday, January 6, 2016

Makeology is hosting their first show, April 16 at the Cotton Factory in Hamilton.

Want to be part of the fun? Here's what they're looking for.

The goal of the Makeology Fair is to bring the most talented crafters around together under one roof.  The jury will carefully select the participants in order to have the best possible curated show. Here’s some of the criteria:
  • The work is unique, creative and innovative – but above all handmade.
  • The work is made by you, the person who will be at the Fair.
  • The work is priced adequately, we frown upon those who do not price handmade goods appropriately.
  • The work is excellently crafted. The quality of the goods to be sold at the Fair must be of the best quality. We encourage you to take well lit photos (if you don’t already) of the work you submit. This will help the jury judge your work, we cannot stress the importance of photos!
  • We’re looking for variety in the type of work accepted. The jurors will select a diverse group of vendors in order to offer the best shopping experience. Some categories are more saturated than others and we encourage everyone to apply!

Vendor Call: The 40th annual Festival of Friends

Wednesday, April 1, 2015

The 40th annual Festival of Friends, a three day celebration of the best in music, crafts, food and more. Annually it draws over 250,000 visitors and is recognized by the province as one of Southern Ontario’s largest free Music Festivals. The main stage has been taken by noted artists such as City & Colour, The Sheepdogs, Don McLean, Great Big Sea, Lights, Leon Redbone and the Mickey Hart Band and many more. We have also introduced many newcomers and local bands to the greater Hamilton region through our two additional music stages. The Festival takes place August 7, 8 & 9 at the Ancaster Fairgrounds. Since this is a big milestone year for us there will be extra celebrations and a few surprises!

There is a wonderful sense of community at our event as participation from our artisans, vendors, community groups, local businesses and volunteers are what hold the foundations of our organization. We stand firmly on the strength of our programming and our ability to present the best headliners and talent free to all visitors, making ours the most anticipated and well attended festival. Please visit our website for more information to be posted soon about this year’s event and headlining performers atwww.festivaloffriends.ca.

The Festival of Friends is an exciting opportunity for you to sell your products, grow your business and network with clients and other vendors.
